About North American Breaker Company
Our History
North American Breaker Co., Inc. was founded in 1996 in North Hollywood, California with the intention to fill an ever growing need for a reliable, honest, and hardworking supplier of name brand circuit breakers in the electrical wholesale industry. After 15 successful years of building relationships, our humble roots have grown into the largest circuit breaker specialist nationwide that consistently sets precedents and trends for our marketplace. As the first circuit breaker company to employ a full time national outside sales force NABCO quickly became one of the largest circuit breaker suppliers to the wholesale industry nationwide. In November 2002, NABCO became the first breaker company to institute a ‘new only’ policy, a policy that would eventually revolutionize the circuit breaker industry. Today, with brand new material being the industry standard as opposed to the exception, North American Breaker has over 100,000 square feet of brand-new material, making it easily the largest such inventory in the country. NABCO sells through wholesale distribution only and will not sell directly to contractors or end users.
In February 2007, we moved from our original warehouse in North Hollywood to a brand new, 25,000 sq. ft. facility in Burbank, California.
On October 27th, 2008 our second distribution facility was opened in Cranbury, New Jersey, and on July 1st, 2009 our third distribution facility was opened in Orlando, Florida.
On October 1st, 2009, less than 1 year after opening our first branch distribution center, NABCO opened their 4th distribution center in Dallas, TX. This facility is a valuable resource for wholesale distributors in Texas and the south providing regional customers with free next day shipping. With this warehouse operational, NABCO’s network of distribution centers provides the majority of customers throughout the country with free second day ground shipping or better.
NABCO’s Midwest Distribution Center in Chicago, IL opened April 1st, 2010. With this facility operational, NABCO will have broken the 100,000 square foot threshold for inventory of brand new circuit breakers.
In April 2010, NABCO launched their increasingly popular “How to” Series video series. These videos cover a variety of commonly discussed topics in the circuit breaker industry and give customers an instructional guide to solutions of common problems.
